Earth Day 2016 Natural Is As Natural Does

Posted by Rhonda DeYampert on

Hello Beautiful People Earth Day is this week and as a lover of all things natural, especially healthy hair skin and body products, give me a moment to share my enthusiasm with you.  My love of nature comes from the order, the energy, the magnificence and the intelligence of this wonderful world we live in.

It comes from the joy of a clear blue sky as well as the spectacle of power in thunder and lightning; the calmness of a pond, trickle of a stream to mighty rushing flood waters and waves breaking on a shoreline.  We live in a dynamic place that we are connected to and if we just take a moment this Earth Day to stop and think about how truly connected we are, we can learn a lot from Mother Earth.

For those of you who know (and don’t know), I’m an educator as well as a healthy hair expert who can’t but help to remind you of science class and the period table of elements that exist on Earth. Well these elements are naturally occurring chemicals and you know what?  Our bodies are made up of 99% of six of these SAME naturally occurring chemicals - 99%! With the rest being natural minerals!  Not trying to get in your family business and all, but THAT is closer than some of our own relatives, lol. Think about it!

So it stands to reason that products made with natural ingredients are better for you! Your body knows the difference and if you pay attention to what your body is telling you, you will be able to make healthier choices when it comes to hair care, skin and body care products.

Think about the effects that pollution and the mismanagement of our natural resources have on Earth. We know that the results include climate change, economic hardships and even war.  Well if we pollute our bodies the same happens – your body will rebel with allergic reactions, hypersensitivity, hair loss and recurring illnesses. None of us wants that! But Beautiful People that’s what can happen when we unwittingly use things on our hair skin and body.

Wait here’s another “teachable moment”. Did you know that the skin is the largest organ of your body AND absorbs what you put on it? That means what you use can get in your bloodstream so it just makes darn good sense to make sure what your using is a good choice.  Your beautiful packaging is not disposable it’s there to protect you so be sure to do your part to protect it!

Finally, I just want to sincerely thank all of you who have been commenting and enjoying this blog – it really keeps me going!  Please continue to share with your colleagues, friends and family.  You can click here to join our Google+ community and follow us on Facebook here.  PLUS We have a special contest for Mother’s Day coming up so be sure to stay connected!
